INVITATION
On behalf of the Portuguese National Laboratory of Civil Engineering (LNEC), I am most pleased to invite you to attend the 5th International Dam Engineering Conference, which will be held in Lisbon from 14 to 16th February 2007.
This is the first time the Dam Engineering Conference series is held in Europe, which will be a great opportunity to the European Dam Engineering Community exchange their experience and achievements with other non-European Communities.
The conference will be held at the Congress Centre of LNEC, an institution of scientific research and technical development. Since LNEC’s foundation, that is just completing its 60th year, dam engineering has been an area of excellence and has given a significant contribution for the progress of dam engineering science in Portugal and abroad.
Therefore I am looking forward to welcoming all colleagues and their accompanying guests from all over the world in Lisbon in February 2007.

We are inviting submission of papers on any of the themes, which are not exhaustive; and submissions which fall within the theme of the conference may be accepted and included for presentation.
Please note that it is part of the requirements of submission of abstract that the Author or one of his/her co-authors will present the paper at the conference and that all papers to be included in the conference documentation must be registered.
Only papers registered and presented at the conference would be included in the conference proceedings.
The language of the Conference is English.

session (if needed parallel) continues and closing
